You have known that honey is always sell in supermarket and other small shop center. But do you know if you buy really real honey that come from the real source. Honey is taken from the bee nest. Bee to produce honey are may differ from one honey with others. But all honey is taken from the bee nest. The below picture all are bee nest, but not all bee nest produce honey.

Honey has two meaning in general, honey sometime used to called for their people they love, but honey on this blog tittle is honey that produce from bee, from plant and may from other source. Honey from bee is produce by bee that accumulate from plant that exert their substance from their plant body usually from their flower.

Honey have many kind, this depend on the kind of bee itself, certain bee is collected honey from certain plant while other bee more prefer to collect honey from other kind of plant, so this why the kind of honey is different of every kind of bee. Basically bee have the same process production for the collected honey from plant, if the source is different so the product result also will differ. The honey produce from certain bee may different with other bee just because of certain bee have a different substance to process honey.

Even though people know the source of honey are from plant but people can not convert directly from sugar from plant into qualified honey. To process sugar from honey need certain substance that available just inside honey body, and people can't produce this substance in laboratory. This substance is God creation that through bee They give to bee a special ability for this purpose. As human we as proper as be grateful can exploit the bee ability.

Pollen

Plants characteristically undergo a cyclic alternation of generations in which a spore producing generation, called the sporophyte (spore plant), is followed by a gamete (sex cell) producing generation, called the gametophyte (gamete plant), and so on. In evolutionarily higher plants the gamete producing generation has been progressively reduced in size and in the duration of its existence, in seed plants the male gametophyte has been diminished to the tiny pollen grain.

Pollen grains (male gametophytes) are produced on highly modified leaves called microsporophylls (megasporophylls produce female gametophytes). In cone-bearing plants, such as pine trees, the microsporophyll is a scale of a male cone. In flowering plants the microsporophyll is the stamen of the flower. A stamen consists of a pollen producing section, called the anther, and a stalk. As anther matures, four groups of specialized cells develop within it; these specialized cells are called microspore mother cells (or pollen mother cells, or microsporocytes). Each of the four groups of microspore mother cells is surrounded by nutritive tissue and supporting cells and is collectively referred to as an anther sac, a pollen sac, or a microsporangium. Each microspore mother cell divides to form four microspore, which is why the flower bearing plant is called the sporophyte. While still in the anther sac and shorty before being released, each microspore begins to germinate; that is, its nucleus divides into two nuclei, the generative nucleus divides into two nuclei, the generative nucleus and the tube nucleus.

The two nuclei structure is the pollen grain, or male gametophyte. The pollen grain's generative nucleus will later divide into male sex cells, or gametes, which is why the pollen grain is called the gametophyte. The two male sex cells are known as sperm nuclei and correspond to the sperm of animals.

Pollen may be produced in relatively small amounts, as few as several dozen grains per another sac, or in tremendous numbers, as in the wind pollinated coniferous trees, where a single cone may produce millions of grains. Pollen grains are commonly yellow in color but may also be orange, green, or other colors, they range from about 2 microns (8/100,000 in) to several hundred micron or more. Pollen grain contain protein and sugars and serve as an attractant to insects and other animals, which aid in pollination. Because pollen grains are distinctive in shape and structure, their plants of origin can be identified from them; a branch of botany, called palynology, specialized in this study.

Honeydew

Honeydew is a class of honey that refer to honey that produced by honeybees, honeybees collecting nectar that is exuded from another insect such as aphid or scale insect. The best known of honeydew is from Black Forest in Germany. Honeydew come from various forest such as forest honey, pine honey, fir honey, etc. that refer to the specific tree that producing of honeydew.

The characteristic of honeydew have lower level of glucose and fructose and higher level of complex sugar, this can be because of extra enzymatic reaction in the sap sucking of glucose and also have high mineral content which is indicate by high conductivity, this indicator also use as the main tool to differ of honeybee in the laboratory  analyses.

The export quality of New Zealand Beech Honeydew is New Zealand premium. This honey have export to Europe and Germany since the early 1970s. There are two species of beech tree inhabited, the sooty beech scales from Margorodidae family produce of the largest New Zealand's honeydew. The beech trees are Black Beech and Red Beech. Two insect that involved on this activity are Ultracoelostoma assimile and Ulatracoelostoma brittini.

Honey Bee

As we know that honey is created or collected by bee, especially honey bee. You see bee normally small and look like a calm creature, but because we have known that this animals have a sting that can cause us sick, all of us will avoided if this animal close to us. If this animals can be view in a big picture then we can see that this animals is similar with a cat, have much of smooth flur and seemed can be carressed. Royal Jellly

Honey have two kinds different of bees product, bees produce two kinds of honey, real honey and Royal Jelly. Each of these products is believed have different function to our body. Here will describe a definition of Royal Jelly.

Royal jelly is the food of queens — not human monarchs, but queen bees. It's actually a substance secreted from the glands in the heads of worker bees that's fed to bee larvae. After a few days, the larvae that have potential to develop into queens continue to be fed this nectar. Since queen bees are much bigger, live longer, and are more fertile than all the other bees, this potion is believed by some to impart mystical qualities. In reality, royal jelly is comprised of 60 to 70 percent water, 12 to 15 percent protein, 10 to 16 percent sugars, and 3 to 6 percent fats, with vitamins, salts, and free amino acids making up the rest.

Reactions ranging from bronchial spasms, skin irritations, and asthma attacks, to more severe anaphylactic shock, and even death, have been reported from its ingestion. Royal Jelly Quality Check

Royal jell is a white part of the bee nest, this substance also have benefit to human health, many method to analyze the quality of this product, one of the honey quality check method use analytical methods. Analytical methods for residues of tetracyclines and acaricides in royal jelly.

After the ban on importations of royal jelly (RJ) from China and the recent increase in the production of European countries, this bee product has gained increasing interest. One of the main concerns for the quality of RJ is the presence of residues of chemicals used in beekeeping, but very few studies are found in literature on the analysis of this particular matrix.

Two analytical methods are proposed for the determination of acaricide and tetracycline residues in RJ. For the determination of acaricides, two sample preparation methods were established: the first one requires an alkaline dissolution of the sample, an extraction on a copolymeric sorbent and the subsequent elution with organic solvents; the other one requires mixing the sample with diatomaceous earth, a solid-liquid extraction with acetone:hexane and a florisil SPE purification. The second method is somewhat slower but preserves the analytes from alkaline breakdown. Both the sample preparation methods employ a GC/ECD determination. The method was tested for Brompropylate, Coumaphos, Fluvalinate and Flumethrine.

The method for tetracyclines requires an alkaline dissolution of the RJ sample and the solid phase extraction of the analytes on a hydrophilic-lipophilic copolymer, followed by an elution in acid solution. The eluate is then injected in an HPLC-DAD system with detection at 353 nm. The method was tested for Oxytetracycline, Tetracycline and Chlortetracycline. Demeclocycline can be used as internal standard.
